      The article is about socio-cultural aspects associated with pottery-making ancient material cultures. The study is based on research carried out in Northern Jordan. The article analyses the forming techniques of cooking pots and emphasis evaluates the set of physical variables that potters keep in mind to shape cookware so that it can withstand its intended use.
