- Abstract:
The article discusses the link between early childhood and STEM education. J. D. Chesloff, a member of the Massachusetts Governor's STEM Advisory Council's Executive Committee, identified the benefits of early exposure to STEM, including the development of early critical thinking and reasoning skills. Simple things that parents can do at home to encourage a child's interest in mathematics are provided. Also noted is the importance of STEM stations at libraries.
