      In this article, the author examines the connections between art and science. Insights from various sources are presented, including the art historian James Elkins, the biologist Stuart Firestein and the philosopher and sociologist Bruno Latour. Additional topics discussed include the cultural significance of art and science, the aesthetic attributes of both fields and the Sciart program, from the British research charity Wellcome Trust. The author also examines what he describes as an uncertainty principle and how that relates to art and science.
