- Abstract:
The article discusses China's rule over Tibet, China from the 1950s through the mid 2010s, including in regard to India's relationship with China during this period. An overview of the border dispute between India and China, including in regard to alleged incursions into the border region of India where the Ladakhi people reside by the Chinese Army the People's Liberation Army (PLA), is provided. An overview of Tibetans in India, including Tibet's government in exile and the Tibet Buddhist monk the Dalai Lama's residing in the country, is also provided. The role that Tibet plays in U.S.'s relations with China is discussed.
