    • Abstract:
The article describes gray-to-black house-cat-sized opossums, the North America's only marsupials, which can wrap their tails around branches to help them climb trees, and can carry grass and other vegetation. It notes that male opossums have bifurcated penises while females rear their young babies called joeys, in fur-lined pouches. Mother opossums have only few days of gestation and their young stays at the mother for about months before beginning to have their own offspring.
