    • Abstract:
In the wake of the 1973 war a new mood pervades the West Bank. Arab arms restored Arab Honor. A Palestinian entity has become an accepted notion. Israel remains hostile to the idea of such a state. Hussein is slowly and carefully reasserting his influence in the West Bank, and West Bankers now realize the value of commercial ties with Israel. Israel will not yield to a renewed division of Jerusalem. This is the thorniest problem of all. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
