    • Abstract:
The article offers information on a study conducted by researcher L.H. V?ah?atalo which reveals that Neuropeptide Y (NYP) is responsible for fat disposition in adipose tissue. The study states that overexpression of NYP in brain catecholaminergic neurons made mice obese without any increase in calorie intake. It study concludes that people with p.L7P polymorphism have high concentrations of NYP circulation that causes metabolic syndrome accompanied with obesity.
