Pastoral Care in 9^th District Hospital in Brest on the Bug. (English)

The article presents the organization of religious ministration for patients in the 9th Regional Hospital in Brest. The Second Polish Republic was a country in which people of different religions lived: Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Jewish and so on. That was the reason why priests of all religions visited the 9th Regional Hospital. It was a good example of religious tolerance also for modern hospitals. The article is based on documents from the Central Military Archives and other works. The author also used articles from the magazine "Lekarz Wojskowy" ("The Army Doctor"). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Artykuł prezentuje organizację opieki duszpasterskiej dla pacjentów w 9. Szpitalu Okręgowym w Brześciu nad Bugiem. Druga Rzeczpospolita była krajem, w którym żyli ludzie różnych wyznań: katolicy, prawosławni, ewangelicy, wyznawcy religii mojżeszowej i inni. Z tego powodu do 9. Szpitala Okręgowego przychodzili kapłani wszystkich religii. Jest to dobry przykład tolerancji religijnej także dla współczesnych szpitali. Artykuł powstał w oparciu o dokumenty zawarte w Centralnym Archiwum Wojskowym i innych pracach. Autor korzystał także z zasobów czasopisma „Lekarz Wojskowy". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
