      The article reports on the success of the research project carried out by Dr. Natalie Leong to evaluate a novel tissue-engineered graft for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) replacement in the U.S. It states that Leong examined the superior biologic and biomechanical properties of ACL constructs seeded with human foreskin fibroblasts. It notes that she received financial support from the nonprofit organization Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) for her research project.
