The article examines the factors that hinder the integration of Russian-speaking Jews (RSJs) in the U.S. Topics discussed include the parallel development of RSJ communal organizations and leadership, the failure of the two-way substantive communications between RSJs and the organized Jewish community to materialize and the spiritual aspects of RSJs' identity, according to the National Jewish Population Survey conducted between 2000 and 2001.
