    • Abstract:
The article discusses a research project conducted by 2012-2013 cohort of National League of Nursing (NLN)-Jonas Scholars who surveyed curricular content of nursing doctoral programs offered and doctoral program availability with a curriculum focus on nursing education. Five states from regions in the U.S. including Arizona, Illinois and Oregon were selected. Findings indicate that 20% of doctoral programs and 5% of DNP programs require a teaching practicum as part of a doctoral education.
