      This article focuses on a computer software, the Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), suite, developed by Oracle Corp., that automates the paper-intensive process of maintaining fleets of commercial and military aircraft. The software which was launched by the company in April 2003, is designed to improve the efficiency of groups responsible for these vehicles by keeping track of complicated configurations, streamlining the scheduling of routine and unplanned maintenance, and presenting enterprisewide visibility into MRO operations. Oracle Complex MRO is intended to be used by OEMs, third-party maintenance companies and fleet owner/operators.
