    • Abstract:
This chapter discusses the differences between reaching a settlement and going to court. Most people in lawsuits end up settling out of court, which takes a lot of questions and answers from both sides, and a lot of give and take for an out-of-court settlement to be fair. Many settle just after the defendant gets the summons. People may choose to go to trial to talk about the facts of the case and the rights of the plaintiff and defendant.
