LA REFORMA EDUCACIONAL CHILENA: Impacto en las aptitudes de estudiantes de educación pública.

Este artículo examina el impacto de la reforma educacional chilena en el desarrollo de las aptitudes matemática, verbal y espacial en estudiantes de enseñanza media científico-humanista de liceos de gestión municipal y, con ello, cómo mejorar la acción pública en contextos con índice de alta vulnerabilidad educacional. La discusión se sustenta en los resultados de una investigación longitudinal, de diseño no experimental, que incluyó a 2 mil 854 estudiantes de la provincia de Curicó, Región del Maulé, Chile. Los resultados muestran que no existen diferencias significativas (p valor > 0.05) en las competencias de los estudiantes que egresaron bajo el diseño curricular sin reforma respecto de aquellos que lo hicieron bajo la nueva política. Sólo se observan diferencias en la habilidad aritmética. En síntesis, revela información sobre el impacto y calidad de la reforma educacional chilena en la calidad de los aprendizajes construidos por los jóvenes, que permita beneficiar a los usuarios de la educación pública [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article examines the impact of Chile's educational reform on the development of mathematical, verbal, and spatial aptitudes among secondary students in Science and the humanities at municipal schools; emphasis is placed on improving public efforts in contexts with a high Índex of educational vulnerability. The discussion is based on the results of longitudinal research, with a non-experimental design, that included 2,854 students from the province of Curicó. Región del Maulé, Chile.
