    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the goal of India to launch its own satellite missions despite the failure of the launch of a rocket with a cryogenic third stage by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on April 15, 2010. ISRO chairman K. Radhakrishnan says the failure occurred due to lost altitude few seconds after the third-stage ignition. ISRO wants to develop its own cryogenic propulsive technology due to the challenges of its programs. But a space industry expert says that India needs more capable launch vehicle to become a player in larger programs.
