- Abstract:
The article discusses the author's approach in motivating fifth-grade students to make visuals of dragons and mythical creatures. She relates that the students agreed that the dragon or creature should look like a reptile, have feet, claws, a tail, and scales. In using color, the students were advised to use their imagination, since the project is all about imaginary creatures, while the use of textures were needed for the scales, wings, and chest plates. The students cut out their drawings and glued these on realistic backgrounds.
