      An introduction to the journal is presented in which the editors discuss an article on Catholic Church influence on the morality and the making of democracy in Latin America by Klaiber, on the role of a school system in molding the symbolic structure of the society by Frisancho and Reátegui, and a review of the moral dilemmas that teachers face when teaching sensitive topics related to history by Magendzo and Toledo.
