      The article discusses the controversy faced by the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film as a wrapper for meat and poultry products in the U.S. PVC film which now widely used for the packaging of fresh meat products is facing controversy due to its possibility of bringing meat pigment oxidation. According to food expert Aaron Brody, the concept of overwrap system has been widely misunderstood by the industry and the consumers.
