      The article outlines the research conducted by the "Environmental Nutrition" publication on the attributes and implication of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids in the U.S. It was found that both of these fatty acids are essential and meaningful to ones body because of its vital role in growth, development and brain function. The Omega-3 fats include eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (ALA) while the sources of Omega-6 are linoleic acid (LA) and arachidonic acid.
