      An interview with Jimmy Wu, a leading figure in China's motion picture industry and CEO of Lumierce Cinemas, is presented. When asked about the government's mission in building the movie industry and theater chains, he states that the government has no involvement in building new cinemas, since most of the multiplex cinemas are built by private companies. He notes that most of the running cinemas are owned by the government and by former China Film Distribution.
