    • Abstract:
The article reports on the threat posed by a carbon dioxide extraction factory on the Trusso ravine in Georgia. The factory has obtained a permit from the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources to extract carbon dioxide in the ravine's mineral springs. The area, where the Terek river flows, was initially listed as a Natural Monument, but the legislation for its protection was abolished in 1996 and has not been reinstated. Moreover, the factory's permit was issued despite the protests of non-governmental organizations.
