    • Abstract:
The article discusses the possible effects of some ophthalmic drugs in the development of nonarteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). It has been suggested that ophthalmologists need to be aware about the medication history of patients who were presumed to have NANION cases. Among the drugs which have been found to be associated with the development of an optic neuropathy include the amiodarone and the phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors.
