    • Abstract:
• Abstract:
Agrarian development has been a widely debated issue throughout Colombia’s history. One of the institutions that has recently intervened in this debate is the Constitutional Court, which, through its rulings, has addressed this matter. This article will analyze the rulings C-644 of 2012, C-077 of 2017, and C-028 of 2018 by presenting two perspectives on agrarian development that are in tension. The aim is to propose an interpretation of these rulings within a conceptual framework of law and political economy, and what has been termed the “Twentieth Century Synthesis.” Finally, it will argue that, in these cases, it is necessary for constitutional law to examine the power of each individual in the market in order to seek a more equitable agrarian development.
