    • Abstract:
Today, as in the past, the main material of both written and visual and audio media is tabloid and dramatic news that can find readers and viewers. The main element of this news is women. The way women are presented is an effective issue both in changing perceptions and in creating material for the capitalist system. Today, when social media is effective, women are the most successful visual material in directing perceptions with the way they are presented. Perception management strategies have an important role in the manipulation of information for the sake of certain interests and using it to direct the target audience. More reading of the news, more sales of the newspaper, and more watching of the news will further increase the rate of watching the channel. On the other hand, since it will break "click" records in social media, the presentation of women's news is always presented in a way that is sexually oriented, with images of violence, and with its "poor" aspect, which will benefit greatly from their suffering. March 8, International Women's Day, chosen as an example of analysis, was chosen as "normal news" in some media, which reported that they were killed or threatened for inhumane reasons such as violence, rape, and harassment, and in some media outlets, ignoring the true meaning of March 8 and selling and advertising. It is observed that the sale of products that are thought to delight women, from jewelry to household appliances, is used as an opportunity in order to increase their income. In this study, the analysis of the news contents published in the Turkish press on March 8, 2022, International Women's Day will be included. In the name of creating a perception, the way women are presented, the style of discourse, and the public that is desired to be created will be examined with new samples on the relevant subject. • Abstract:
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
