The article reveals actions taken by colleges in the U.S. in response to their academic calendar, amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Topics discussed include reason a number of liberal-arts colleges cut their semester into halves, remarks from Eric Boynton, provost and dean of Beloit College, which was among the first to convert to modules, and how professors reimagined their courses to make them adaptable to online teaching.
