- Abstract:
In Reference re Securities Act, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that the Federal government's proposed national security regulator was unconstitutional. Nevertheless, the Court did not conclusively rule out the possibility of a national securities regulator being constitutional under a different structure. The purpose of this case note is to examine what options remain available for the Federal government to create a national securities regulator. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
