The article 2.1.b of the Ley Organica de Libertad Religiosa established the right of religious assistance. In the public health ambit incorporate, beside the right to spiritual assistance in a broad sense, the exteriorized of right to religious liberty recognize in the art. 16 CE. From it, the authorities are obliged to provide the necessary infrastructure for the practice of cult those patients seeking to exercise this right, so in accordance with the principle of equality of the art. 14 CE, the introduction of multi-confessional spaces of cult would be necessary in the public hospitals enclosures. El artículo 2.1.b de la Ley Orgánica de Libertad Religiosa estableció el derecho de asistencia religiosa. En el ámbito de los servicios públicos sanitarios esto comprende, además del derecho a la asistencia espiritual en sentido amplio, el derecho a la exteriorización de la libertad religiosa reconocido en el art. 16 CE. A partir del mismo, los poderes públicos quedan obligados a facilitar la infraestructura necesaria para el ejercicio del culto de aquellos pacientes que demanden el ejercicio de dicho derecho, por lo que de conformidad con el principio de igualdad del art. 14 CE, se haría necesaria la instauración de capillas multiconfesionales en los recintos públicos hospitalarios.
