WYLA (97.5 FM) features primarily local and regional music, contemporary and independent music, poetry and other audio arts in a wide variety of styles. The station highlights Charleston County Public Library programming and also airs community-produced specialty shows that feature specific genres of performing arts.

The station's antenna is at the Main Library in downtown Charleston, and the signal can best be heard within the arc of 526. Depending on atmospheric conditions, coverage to the south can extend as far as Ravenel and coverage to the north can reach as far as Highway 41.
