Business Center
The Business Center is committed to ensuring excellent service to entrepreneurs, individual investors, and the regional business community by providing access to diverse and up-to-date business and investment information in a variety of appropriate formats.

Location:
The Business Center is located on the second floor of the
Main Library.

Collections:
Our Business Center collections include books, periodicals, and
online research tools geared for the needs of small business owners, students, and individual investors of Charleston. Topics include: accounting, advertising, business history, company information, demographics, exports and imports, finance, human resources, industry information, international business, investment, labor, management, manufacturing, market research, real estate, small business, and statistics.

Services:
The Reference Department staff is always available to assist you with using the Business Center collection. In addition, you may also make an appointment with our Business Librarian for a one-on-one research consultation. If your organization or business is interested in learning more about CCPL's Business services and resources, ask us about scheduling a presentation at your business or office. Please contact the Reference Department at 805-6930 for more information.

Partners:
SCORE: Starting a small business or need help with an existing one? CCPL has partnered with
SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) to provide one-on-one business counseling. Counselors are available by appointment for meetings in the Business Center to offer guidance and answer questions. To request a session, please fill out SCORE's online request form. Be sure to mention the Main Library in your request.

Small Business Resource Network: As a member of the SBRN, Charleston County Public Library collaborates with other agencies and nonprofit organizations that provide free or low-cost assistance to local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The organization serves as a clearinghouse of information about small business counseling, seminar education, and guidance for securing financial backing.
